About: Unwanted Witness was registered in 2013 as a non-partisan and non-profit organisation that uses different media tools to amplify the voices vulnerable groups and to add an active voice to initiatives that work towards demanding and promoting democratic governance.

Project purpose: WWW is supporting Unwanted Witness’ one-year project to improve the safety and security of human rights defenders, including artists, bloggers, Netizens and freelance journalists. Unwanted Witness will conduct trainings for HRDs on how to plan, manage, and respond to security emergencies online and how to use new media technologies. Unwanted Witness will also conduct research to understand safety risks and threats faced by HRDs online.
