Unwanted Witness is a Civil Society Organization founded in 2012 to promote online freedoms and protect digital rights in Uganda. The organization aims to create a safe and secure digital environment for citizens and promote the responsible use of technology. We are seeking for a highly qualified Lead Researcher to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities

i) Collect, analyze, and report on experimental data
ii) Create and maintain accurate and timely records of test results and protocol design
iii) Assist in the publication of research findings
iv) Perform computer data analysis
v) Instruct and assist students and laboratory staff
vi) Participate in meetings with the Principal Investigator

Key Competences

i) Proficiency in research and evaluation design
ii) Exceptional quantitative or qualitative analytical skills
iii) Skill in preparing complex data sets for analysis
iv) Strong problem-solving and investigative abilities
v) Proficiency in multiple data collection and analysis techniques
vi) Solid knowledge of Microsoft Suite and Office tools
vii) Experience with online survey software
vii) Exceptional knowledge of statistical computer applications (SPSS, Epidata, SAS, STATA, and/or R)
ix) Excellent communication skills
x) Strong teamwork and collaboration capabilities
xi) Demonstrated skill in collecting and analyzing interview, observation, and focus group data
xii) Attention to detail and time management skills
xiii) Strong technical writing skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
xiv) Good knowledge of innovation and emerging qualitative data collection methods
xv) Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
