Yes To Compliance

Compliance with the Data Protection and Privacy Act and its regulations is still a challenge in Uganda to the extent that the inaugural Privacy Scorecard report; a monitoring tool used to provide Ugandans with critical information on how different data collectors/processors comply with the principles and standards of data protection, recorded a very low performance of 35%. To that end, Unwanted Witness, Bare Foot Law, and WOUGNET seek to create awareness of the Data Protection and Privacy Act and its regulation in a bid to improve the rate of compliance.

Tosilika!

Tosilika is a Luganda word meaning 'Don’t be silent". In our context, the word means; don’t be silent about online violence against women and girls. The intended objective of the whole campaign is, don’t be silent and encourage the target audience to report and speak up against those perpetrating the vice of online violence against women and children.
