Privacy Symposium 2020

This year’s symposium seeks to explore the dynamics of Data use and Democracy presenting the opportunities and challenges to digital human rights in Uganda across sensitive areas of digital identity, e-commerce, surveillance and digital political campaigns leveling the significance to 2021 elections.

Upon these realities the Privacy symposium 2020 is targeting 60 participants drawn from government, civil society, academia and professionals to engage in a public discourse to sensitize and create awareness about the risks that lie within the weak Data Protection and Privacy laws and the effects on human rights.

The event will be streamed live on our Facebook page and YouTube.
